The first three months as an Animator are exciting and challenging as the team pushes to deliver games for the Global Gaming Expo. A typical day begins with the studio meeting and reviewing the art tasks. Throughout the day, the Animator will create and refine assets, work closely with Principle Artists and Game Designers and review game art on the cabinet. By six months, the team member will understand the flow of the game design process. Within the year, the artist will begin to anticipate the needs of the project and create art content with less direction.
What you'll do
The best candidate is highly creative with exceptional 3D animation, design, and layout skills.
He/she is self-motivated and continuously improves his/her craft.
The position requires independent work and the ability to work in a team environment.
Performance Goals:
It is important for the Animator to provide and receive art critiques in a professional manner.
Team members will accept feedback and make changes quickly and efficiently.
The candidate will be detail-oriented and maintain organized, layered files and asset storage.
Clear communication is the key to avoiding mistakes and delays.
The Animator will demonstrate he/she can deliver content at the correct specifications and follow-up with engineering for confirmation.
The ideal candidate will help conceptualize game designs and provide multiple creative solutions.
Leadership Involvement:
The Animator will work closely with the senior team members and management to develop artistically and professionally.
The leaders will help guide the team with problem solving, improving art and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
Management looks for talented, hard-working artists with great potential for growth.
We encourage Animators and Artistis to push the limits, experiment, grow and have fun!
Perform all other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
Proficient in Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and 3D animation (Maya or Houdini)
Experience in creating art assets for PC, Console, or Slot Machine games using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
Exceptional drawing, illustration and composition ability
Knowledge of storyboarding, video production, 2D/3D animation
A good eye for design, motion and timing
Strong passion for art and gaming
Self-driven, responsible and detail-oriented person who can multi-task and deliver high quality work on time
Ability to work in teams, with managers and other disciplines
Communicates clearly with team members and can tolerate moderate to occasional high levels of stress
Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies
Must have the ability to speak, read and understand English
Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions
Ability to make and ship art to engineering specification
