Job Overview
Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore is looking for a 3D Artist for its growing studio with over 150 employees. Our environment is a combination of casual creativity and functional productivity with an emphasis on fun games and solid engineering.
One of the most satisfying aspects of life at Wargaming is seeing your work flourish in the expanding world of Wargaming titles and interacting with the millions of fans around the world who recognize your achievements. You will work closely with Game Designers, UX Designers, UI artists, and other team members to create a broad spectrum of purpose-built artwork.
Reports To
The 3D Artist will report to Lead Artist.
What will you do?
Accurately translate 2D concept art into 3D.
Construct 3D models at various levels of detail.
Work on dynamic interactive props as well as static environment objects.
Create normal maps and advanced shader materials.
Use proprietary tools to export and tweak your models for maximum impact.
What are we looking for?
3 years’ experience creating 3D objects for film, TV or video game industry.
Shipped art assets in console development.
Experience building vehicles and weapons.
Passionate about making games, quality-driven.
Portfolio demonstrating your ability to build professional quality 3D game assets.
Ability to take art direction, manage priorities, and meet schedule commitments.
Detail-oriented methodology, and the ability to communicate clearly to peers and leads.
Proficient in 3ds Max or Maya.
Hands-on experience with ZBrush and Substance Painter or Quixel.
Modeling abilities in soft and hard surface.
