The technical artist is responsible for creating innovative content, working with specialized video game production systems, researching and applying solutions that improve graphic quality, as well as promoting methods and tools that will facilitate artistic production. He innovates and solves artistic technical problems for the development of tools used in video game production in order to improve work processes. He works closely with the artistic director, the technical director, other artists and programmers.
Main responsibilities :
Design and develop shaders, particle effects, lighting and/or animation systems for use in commercial 3D game publishers;
Work with programmers to integrate tool and system content, proposing additional solutions and/or developments;
Become familiar with game design documents and identify processes that improve productivity and visual quality;
Analyze and optimize graphic content to respect platform constraints;
Push and redefine the limits of systems and visual quality for projects;
Work closely with the technical director to establish content production strategies;
Fix bugs identified by testers, colleagues and customers.

You have production experience with Unreal and/or Unity game engines;
Because you are familiar with 3D production software such as 3dsMax or Maya;
You have experience in developing high quality 3D mobile games and consoles;
You are autonomous, resourceful, organized and rigorous;
You know the languages of shaders (HLSL, GLSL, HLSL);
Your knowledge of a scripting language such as Python, C# or MelScript.
You have experience developing tools to increase productivity and automate steps in the art pipeline.
Bonus points for you if:
You use Houdini in the context of real-time game development;
You are interested in a wide range of games, from mobile to PC.
Requirements :
College or university education in art, programming or equivalent;
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the video game industry.
