Summary
The role of Art Manager will be to oversee and review all art assets for quality and continuity with the vision of the Digital Art Director and the game design team. Directing a fully functioning Art and Animation team focused on developing social casino products.
You will work with a team of approximately 10 members across the United States and India, ranging from junior to senior and of varying roles including, illustrator, animator, project manager and other support roles.
What you'll do
Duties include:
Reviewing art assets on a daily basis for quality and continuity with the Game Design core team vision.
Give input on the scope of the game, schedule and assign the development to a particular team member.
Be involved in planning meetings for the specific representation of game dynamics and choreography.
Create Wireframes and Story boards for each game.
Work close with Art team in India in the day to day art development of the game.
Coordinate with Art Project manager regarding all art, animation production and schedule.
Tracks milestones and ensures that the team stays on schedule, critiques and reviews art when it comes in, gives notes for revision, provides mock-ups, and lights the fire under the staff in Daily Basics until the final product is approved.
International Travel could be required many times during the year specially to India’s Aristocrat office.
All other duties as assigned.
The Art Manager position is full-time, immediately available and on-site at our Decatur, GA, office. Frequent travel is required to India.
What we're looking for
Requirements
Proven industry leading experience in social or land based casino environments.
Exceptional commercial portfolio that showcases an advanced understanding of design and animation principals.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator
Spine, Flash or Harmony will be a plus
Experience in managing several teams across multiple products
Experience directing illustrators, animators and other staff
Experience in managing teams across multiple locations
Experience in all areas of the product life cycle including pre-production, development, and testing.
Excellent project management and planning skills
Solid communication skills, both verbal, written and visual.
Ability to eloquently and passionately present to large teams.
Strong technical understanding of game development which included various engines, tools, source control and more. Experience working closely with Heads of Development, Marketing and Product.
Knowledge of Jira and Perforce version control software a plus
Must be eligible to travel regularly.
