Frostivus cancelled! Skeleton King removed
For the second year in a row, Frostivus is cancelled. This time around the classic hero Skeleton King was cancelled along with it, expected to return reworked together with a new mode to replace Frostivus.
Two years in a row now, Frostivus have been announced as an annual festivity and two years in a row now, Frostivus have been cancelled due to unfortunate events. Last year it was a mass invasion of Greevilings and this year it appears to be "by decree of the only king that matters". The king spoken of is undoubtedly the Skeleton King which was also mysteriously removed from Dota 2 in this week's patch.
The mighty undead hero is expected to go through a rework and re-appear under the new name Wraith King, but most likely not until after he terrorized the realm of Dota in a new seasonal mode to come. Other hints point towards the arrival of Legion Commander, Arc Warden as well as the longtime missing Soul Keeper.
The only patch notes for this week are the following;
GAMEPLAY
- Skeleton King: Removed for pressing ceremonial reasons
